Jacqueline DaviesWe are so happy to welcome bestselling author Jacqueline Davies to read from and talk about Candy Smash, the newest title in her Lemonade War series.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Jacqueline Davies is a best-selling author and one of our favorite customers. Ms. Davies’s books have won numerous awards, including the NSTA Outstanding Science Trade Book for Students K-12, the John Burroughs List of Nature Books for Young Readers, The Sigurd Olson Nature Writing Award, the New York Library’s Best Books List, the NCSS Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People, the IRA/CBC Children’s Award Notable Book for Fiction, the Bank Street College of Education’s Best Children’s Books, and the CCBC Choices Award.

Ms. Davies lives in Needham, Massachusetts with her three children (Sam, Henry, and Mae), and their dog (Harley). She enjoys reading, gardening, watching local sports teams (especially the Celtics and Patriots), running, and knitting.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Jessie and Evan Treski have waged a lemonade war, sought justice in a class trial, and even unmasked a bell thief. Now they are at opposite ends over the right to keep secrets. Evan believes some things (such as his poetry) are private. Jessie believes scandal makes good news. When anonymously sent candy hearts appear in Class 4-0, self-appointed ace reporter Jessie determines to get the scoop on class crushes.
