Wellesley Free Library Friend's Arnold Lecture to Feature Bill Martin

03/01/2012 7:00 pm
William Martin

Join the Friends of the Wellesley Free Library at their 2012 Arnold Lecture which will feature author William Martin.  Mr. Martin will discuss the process of turning history into fiction, and focus on one of his books which has just been reissued -- The Rising of the Moon --it was originally released in 1987.  He will also offer a preview of his next novel, The Lincoln Letter, to be released in September of 2012.

Books will be available for sale at the event, courtesy of Wellesley Books.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

William Martin has written nine novels, an award-winning PBS documentary, and a horror movie now considered a cult classic.  He is best known, however, for his historical fiction, which has chronicled the history of Boston, New England, and the nation.  His first novel, Back Bay, spent fourteen weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List.  His subsequent novels, including Harvard Yard, Citizen Washington, Annapolis, and Cape Cod, have established him, in the words of Publishers Weekly, as a “storyteller whose smoothness matches his ambition.”  There are more than three million copies of his books in print.
