Paris afficionados!
Join Marjorie Williams, co-author of Markets of Paris, 2nd Edition, to hear about a fresh way of experiencing Paris--through the city's markets!
Highlighting some of the best food, flea, antique and hobbyist markets that Paris has to offer, she will share practical tips for enjoying the markets as a fun way to explore local culture, sample local foods, find unusual souvenirs, and venture into new neighborhoods. Step off the beaten path of typical sites and uncover Paris in a whole new light! Marjorie will accompany her talk with a brief slideshow. Ooh la la!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Fascinated with farmers’ markets since childhood, Marjorie R. Williams is a writer and photographer whose work has been featured in magazines and travel blogs. She has a B.A. from the University of Chicago and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Lesley University. Williams, who has held executive editorial positions with major publishing companies, travels extensively and discovered that exploring local markets is a great way to understand the local culture. While researching the markets for the new edition of Markets of Paris, she lived in Paris for six months.
