Join local author Fabiola Powell when she reads from her memoir, Faith's Legacy, which chronicles the Christian faith of her Haitian American family.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Fabiola Powell takes us on a journey to uncover the legacy of faith of three generations of women—Rosetane, Marie and Nora—whose faith stood firm in the midst of a religious movement, political unrest and personal struggle.
Fabiola started writing this memoir eight years ago, after the difficult birth of her daughter. In the course of writing, Fabiola discovered that the legacy of faith her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother gave her was what really got her through her ordeal. She began to research her Haitian ancestry and discovered instances during which belief in God sustained her ancestors, and worked those stories into her book.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR

She lives in the metrowest area of Boston with her husband and children.
