Join charming author Anne Ipsen at a book party celebrating her latest novel's publication, Running Before the Prairie Wind: An Historical Novel of Southwestern Minnesota.
Anne draws on her own heritage and fascination with history to explore
themes of the difficult adjustment of the early settlers and the danger
of suppressed memories. As in her earlier work, she evokes a sense of
place in Running before the Prairie Wind,
transporting the reader to the Minnesota Prairie in the late nineteenth
century and painting multicultural immigrant life against a historical
backdrop of the tragic Sioux uprising.
There will be a discussion and
book-signing following her presentation.
